Cool link about using LinkedIn to build your small business
I have been a member of LinkedIn for a couple of years, but have not used it at all to market my business. I just got a short email from the service that shared a video of a small business owner , Sasha Strauss from Innovation Protocol who has used it to generate lots of referrals. I thought it was really interesting, and when my book is done (ahhh! less than 6 weeks!), I will definitely look into using LinkedIn more effectively for marketing my business. Worth pondering!
That is a surprise! I recently wrote a post on how LinkedIn can help your small business.
I spoke about
1. Account opening and lead generation
2. Finding the decision makers and influencers
3. Making referrals long lasting
etc.

Pam,
Thanks for the blog on LinkedIn. I get the RSS feed from LinkedIn and blew over the article. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

That's great... I love when Sasha says he assumed that social networks had a business purpose (for the users). Excellent observations. I also found it interesting when he said he prequalifies his prospects/clients based on their profiles (how robust) and the recommendations.

I love the fact that you can find your 3 degrees of separation. I use LinkedIn only to connect with people whom I have met and spoke with and know well (in Facebook I simply connect with people who are interested in similar things - but I don't necessarily know). Then when I want to connect within another person, linked in becomes a very powerful source.
